The production of the new series "Mr. Mayor" is on hold until further notice. There were six positive corona findings within the crew.

The production of the new series "Mr. Mayor" with Ted Danson (72, "The Good Place") in the lead role had to be interrupted due to corona cases within the crew. This is reported by the US magazine "Variety".

According to the Los Angeles health authority, there were six corona cases that tested positive on the set of production. According to an internal source, four infections were detected within the period from last Friday (December 11th) to Monday (December 14th) as a result of routine tests. Those who tested positive were actors from the series and crew members who had direct contact with them.

The shooting of the new series, which is scheduled to start on TV in the USA from January 7, will therefore be interrupted and will only continue after the regular break in filming over the holidays in early 2021. The series, which is about a candidate for the mayor's post in Los Angeles, comes from the pen of comedian and actress Tina Fey (50, "30 Rock").
