Giovanna Rincon, director of the Acceptess-T association, was heard on Monday as an expert witness in the trial of the three men accused of having killed the trans sex worker Vanesa Campos in 2018. She returns to the consequences of the criminalization customers and the measures put in place by the association to fight against violence.

On the night of August 16 to 17, 2018, this sex worker was shot in the chest in the Bois de Boulogne. Since then, several associations such as Acceptess-T – which supports trans people selling sexual services – have pointed to the 2016 law aimed at strengthening the fight against the prostitution system and supporting prostitutes. They believe that the penalization of customers is at the origin of the increase in murders and attacks on the community, particularly in the Bois de Boulogne.
