Music night on ORF – Friday evening was all about folk music

The ORF once again invited people to a social gathering in the state studio on Friday evening. The folk music evening was broadcast live for six hours on Radio Salzburg.

Traditional dress was not the mandatory dress code on Friday evenings. Nevertheless, it is an unwritten rule that visitors to the “Long Night of Folk Music” in the ORF Landesstudio Salzburg put on their most enchanting dirndls and traditional lederhosen. One thing to keep in mind, however, was that it had to be comfortable. The evening, which was all about folk music, lasted a total of six hours. The Zeitlang Musi & Gsang, the Irrsdorfer Tanzlmusi, the Windstreich musicians, the So&So band and many more sang and played. The moderators Caroline Koller, Eva Köck, Alexander Holzmann and Harald Eitzinger led through the program, which was running live at the same time on Radio Salzburg. What radio listeners missed, however, was that a fashion show rounded off the evening for the guests on site in the state studio.
