Mutan Insight studio working on premium RPG remake for PS5

Rumors of RPG remakes on PS5 have not been lacking lately. We thought we would discover that of Chrono Cross at the Game Awards, but it ultimately didn’t happen. Today, we learn that the studio Mutan insight is currently in the process of recruiting for another RPG remake, as reported by Gematsu.

We throw the bets

This RPG remake is thus described as being “high-end”, and would be planned for the PlayStation 5.. The studio is looking for several people including 3D artists for the artistic direction and for the sets, with environments that would use Unreal Engine 5, as well as a 2D character designer.

We don’t yet know which RPG this concerns, but we can have fun looking for some clues on the side of the studio’s CV, which has worked on several major JRPG licenses. Mutan Insight has worked on the series of Workshop and Blue Reflection (for character models), as well as on the DLC Episode Ardyn of Final Fantasy XV. They also helped on Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth with work on the background models.

The fantasy and rumor machine is launched, and we are already dreaming of a remake of Persona 3, given that the studio has approached the license (from very far, but hey, we take what we have). But we will wait wisely for new, more official information before drawing any plans on the comet.
