Helped by the confinement periods of 2020, the webcam market has regained color in recent years. Logitech seems to want to capitalize on this comeback with its MX Brio.

If you are a hard-working remote worker and want to appear at your best during your video meetings, the Logitech Mx Brio may be for you. Unveiled very recently, this webcam, marketed under the “Logi” range, promises 4K, AI and advanced features for a price of €229.

A new entrant into the MX range

Obviously sold as the Logitech webcam “the most advanced to date», the Brio is in fact part of the MX product range (which until then mainly included mice and keyboards), proof of its positioning between the professional market and that of individuals. The company explains that the accessory is both designed “for collaboration and streaming.»

Far from being a simple webcam, the Brio obviously includes features linked to “artificial intelligence” such as automatic image improvement in low light conditions which will adjust the white balance, focus and the contrast depending on your environment. Pixels “70% bigger» than the previous model will also allow the gadget to see more clearly in the dark.

A webcam that rotates

But Logitech is also looking to highlight the hardware tricks of its new webcam. Equipped with a privacy shutter (which allows you to make the webcam “blind” when you are not using it), the camera is also capable (once fixed on its stand) of rotating to position itself horizontally and of show what’s happening on your desktop. A way of “share your notes and diagrams» easily during a video meeting. “Show Mode” will take care of putting the image in the right direction for your interlocutors.

Obviously, all of this will require the installation of the Logi Options software, available on Windows and macOS. Finally, on the technical sheet side, the MX Brio is also equipped with two beamforming microphones which should limit the capture of parasitic noise, a USB-C port for connection to a computer and a 2160p sensor capable of increasing to 30 images seconds that supports HDR.

The gadget is already available on the Logitech website and at certain resellers.
