Mystery now solved – Tyrol: identity of skeletonized corpse clarified

Now there is sad certainty: the skeletonized body discovered three weeks ago at Ambras Castle high above Innsbruck is the Belarusian (39) who has been missing since October 2020 and lives in Austria.

At the end of February, a male corpse was found in a piece of forest east of Ambras Castle, which fell steeply to the “Lanserbach”. The man’s identity was initially unclear. No indication of third-party negligence. “It was a 39-year-old Belarusian living in Austria who had been reported missing since October 13, 2020,” the police said. The missing persons report was given up by the man’s landlord at the time. An autopsy of the body found no evidence of third-party negligence
