Natixis will sell its last stakes in Coface

Paris (awp / afp) – Natixis announced on Wednesday its intention to part with the 10% stake it still had in the capital of credit insurer Coface. This sale will be reserved for institutional investors, specifies the subsidiary of the mutualist group BPCE, in a press release.

At the current price, this sale would be around 200 million euros.

The bank had already sold 29.5% of Coface in February 2020, at a price of 500 million euros, to the American insurer Arch Capital Group.

She then judged this asset as no longer strategic for the group. Since this operation, she was no longer represented on the board of directors of the insurer.

Present in Coface’s capital since 2006, Natixis had started to withdraw from the company, in particular by listing it in 2014, and by selling nearly 60% of its shares.
