NATO allies to start withdrawing troops on May 1

NATO allies announced on Wednesday April 14 their decision to begin the withdrawal of their forces engaged in Afghanistan by 1er may. The goal is to have them completely removed ” in some months “, according to a statement published by the Alliance.

“This withdrawal will be orderly, coordinated and deliberate. We expect that the withdrawal of all American forces and those of the mission will be completed in a few months ”, specifies the press release published after Joe Biden’s announcements.

The US president said on Wednesday that US troops would also begin the 1er May, their final withdrawal from Afghanistan. He set the deadline for September 11.
