NATO pushed Russia and Ukraine to ‘breaking point’, Beijing accuses


BEIJING, March 9 (Reuters) – The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has pushed tensions between Russia and Ukraine to a “breaking point”, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Lijian, during a daily briefing with the press.

He urged the United States to take China’s concerns seriously and avoid infringing on its rights or interests in handling the crisis in Ukraine and ties with Russia. (Yew Lun Tian report; Blandine Hénault for the French version)
