There are now too many doubts that Naughty Dog is preparing a remake of the first The Last of Us, so much the indices seem to agree. According to the latest rumors, the title could even be released this year, just to fill the Sony catalog a little more for the second part of 2022. And if some still question the existence of such a project, a new element further strengthens this track.
The half-confirmed TLOU remake
It’s often like LinkedIn that allows us to unearth some information, with the page of a QA tester at Naughty Dog (that of Corey Hong), relayed by VGC, which indicates that after having worked on The Last of Us Part II and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, he is currently working on two unannounced projects at Naughty Dog, namely a multiplayer game and a remake.
The first should normally be the famous multiplayer game in the universe of The Last of Us that Naughty Dog has been preparing for a while, and which is no longer a secret. The second would therefore be, if we believe the rumours, the remake of the first The Last of Ussince a priori, no other remake is in progress at the studio.
If so, we can bet that an announcement will arrive in the next few weeks.
