Navigo Liberté+ Pass: two new features that will make it more practical


Before getting to the heart of the matter, a quick reminder about the Navigo Liberté+ Pass is necessary. Thanks to this no-obligation formula, Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) allows Ile-de-France residents to travel more easily on the Paris intramural network and to pay only for trips made during each month. An offer particularly aimed at users who do not travel enough to make a weekly or monthly Navigo recharge profitable. As a bonus, it has the advantage of offering certain tickets at a reduced price, notably the classic t+.

In a blog post published on his site The LabIDFM has announced two new features for the Navigo Liberté+ Pass:

  • The extension of the subscription to all public transport in Île-de-France, which is no longer limited to the Parisian intramural network;
  • The start of a test campaign with a view to its dematerialization.

We thus learn that interested people with an Android smartphone with NFC can register at the following address to try out the dematerialized Navigo Liberté+ Pass in advance. However, don’t jump on this link straight away. It was indeed a success since IDFM already indicates on the form that the required number of testers for this experiment has been reached. It is nevertheless specified that additional places will be offered soon.

Finally, regarding the final deployment of the dematerialized Navigo Liberté+ Pass, IDFM has not yet revealed any launch date. In the best of all worlds, we can hope for availability just before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, just like for the long-awaited Navigo Pass on iPhone.
