Nearly 60% of pros think AI could prevent burnout


Employee burnout has been a hot topic for several years. And according to a recent survey, 58% of workers believe that artificial intelligence can help alleviate burnout and improve job satisfaction.

A report based on a survey of 6,400 workers worldwide explains that almost a third of employees feel pressure and burnout resulting from layoffs and hiring freezes. Bad news that is the result of a gloomy economic landscape, due in part to inflation.

And as the use of generative AI becomes mainstream through tools such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Bing Chat and Google Bard, interest in automating tasks through technology is growing.

Generations X, Z, and Millennials: the “automation generation”

The report, courtesy of UiPath, states that Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X workers all together form the “automation generation”, which is particularly receptive to the potential of automation and improving job performance through the use of AI tools.

Within the automation generation, Gen Z is by far the most receptive to adopting AI-powered tools in the workplace, with 69% agreeing that it would improve their work. 63% of Millennials and 51% of Gen Xers agree. In contrast, only 44% of baby boomers surveyed have a favorable view of AI in the workplace.

More than half of respondents believe AI automation can improve professional growth, and the report also shows that 57% view employers who adopt AI-powered tools more favorably than those who don’t.

More flexibility, more time and more opportunities to learn new skills

Generative AI tools, such as AI chatbots and art generators, can help employees and modernize business operations.

Workers surveyed who support the implementation of AI in the workplace believe that these tools would bring more flexibility to their work environment, more time to focus on essential tasks, and more opportunities to learn new skills.
