Nena: Confusion about Instagram message | BRIGITTE.de

What's behind Nena's latest Instagram post? A political message? Promotion for the new album? Neither of them?

A social media post that can be found on the official Instagram and Facebook page of singer Nena (60) causes confusion about his message. To a short clip that runs in a loop and in which an unrecognizable woman hoists an apparently white flag, Nena first writes about her "deep faith in God. This is where my trust comes from in life."

Then the 60-year-old seems to be referring to the current situation: "And I have my common sense, which breaks down the information and the scare tactics that flow in from the outside into all its individual parts. And so it is possible for me, not myself hypnotized by fear to let go in the dark. "

What does Nena mean by that?

Her message to her around 76,000 followers: "Let's go into the light and stand for love, because despite all the madness we are experiencing here, I believe and know that the positive change can no longer be stopped." To do this, she used the two hashtags #liebeistdieantwort and #licht.

Political message? A commitment to God? And / or advertising? The latter hashtag could at least point to their new album, entitled "Light", which will be released on Friday (October 16). However, among the multitude of comments there is also the musician and conspiracy theorist Xavier Naidoo (49), who provided Nena's contribution with a heart and the emoji of praying hands.

That's what your management says

Compared to the "Bild" newspaper, the singer's management commented on the Instagram post that raised questions with the words: "We see some measures critically – for example, mask requirements for children and that family members are not allowed to visit and accompany the dying – and like Nena already said weeks ago: 'Fear is not a good advisor'. "

At the same time, however, it is made clear: "She does not take any side, but has an opinion and feelings, which she primarily expresses in her music."
