NETFLIX: The Raid, an American remake produced by Michael Bay announced

In 2011, Gareth Evans gave birth to The Raid, a high-energy indonesian action film that gives pride of place to martial arts and who follows a team of police officers moving through a building controlled by the Mafia in order to dismantle a network of drug traffickers. The film received a sequel in 2014, but Hollywood wants his remake /reboot.

Deadline indeed reveals that Netflix will produce a remake of The Raid, with Patrick Hughes (Expendables 3, Hitman and Bodyguard) directing and script. Explosive action film specialist Michael Bay and Gareth Evans will also be in production. This time the film will take place in Philadelphia, in the Badlands, while a team from the DEA Undercover infiltrates a building run by a cartel to arrest the local drug lord.

Michael Bay and Patrick Hughes have long wanted to make a remake /reboot of The Raid American style, the latest version of the screenplay written by Hughes totally won over Bay and Evans, and Netflix quickly wanted to participate in the project. From now on, everything is signed, but you will have to wait before discovering the film on the SVoD.

If you want an action movie with a policeman blowing up everything in his path in a building run by thugs, you can find Dredd in Blu-ray at € 14.99 on Amazon.
