After much criticism, Netflix now not only measures for its in-house charts whether the series or the film was played for 2 minutes. In both the daily Netflix Top 10 and the weekly charts, the US streamer can now view the hours of series or films watched.
On November 16, 2021, Netflix launched its own website with weekly Netflix chart lists. There you will find the global film and series charts, but also the weekly charts from over 90 countries. The global charts are sorted by: Film (English), TV (English), Film (English), Film (Non-English).
The weekly lists are updated every Tuesday and include the total number of hours viewed from Monday to Sunday of the previous week. What is new is that individual series seasons can appear in the series list.
The weekly numbers are rounded up to 10,000 to account for unstable internet connections. In addition, the number of weeks the series or film has been in the Netflix Top 10 is also given. Netflix also hired an outside company to check the numbers. The report will be published in 2022.
