(CercleFinance.com) – News Corp announces agreement to acquire Base Chemicals business from S&P Global and IHS Markit for $ 295 million in cash transaction, subject to usual adjustments.
It will integrate the professional information activities of Dow Jones, alongside OPIS, an information and data activity for the energy and renewables sector, also acquired – last August – from S&P Global and IHS Markit.
The transaction responds to a request from the UK competition authority for plans to merge S&P Global and IHS Markit. It remains subject to the usual finalization conditions, including regulatory approvals.
