A new major player entered the SVOD market at the beginning of January 2024 with the firm intention of initially conquering French territory. With its “free” offer and its already very rich catalog, the platform is the outsider of choice. The latest film added to the catalog is even an exclusive reserved until now for Amazon Prime Video.
The entertainment and telecommunications giant is hitting hard at the start of the year. TF1 intends to capture a share of the lucrative SVOD market in France and to achieve its objectives launched TF1+ (formerly MyTF1) on January 8, 2024. This streaming platform stands out from its main competitors (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+) with its “free” offer with advertisements and a catalog rich in several thousand hours of content (15,000 to be precise). However, it is possible to take out a subscription to become a Premium member. For 5.99 euros/month, advertisements are removed and several programs are made available in preview.

A “Tom Clancy” film on TF1+
The film that interests us today was one of the main cinematic exclusives offered by Amazon Prime Video in 2021. Without Remorse is an action thriller directed by Stefano Sollima and written by Taylor Sheridan (Comancheria, Sicario) and Will Staples (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Sweet Girl). The Italian filmmaker had previously carved out a solid reputation in Hollywood with Sicario: La Guerre des cartels (2018), the sequel to Sicario by Denis Villeneuve, as well as the series Romanzo criminale (2008 – 2010) and Gomorrah (2014 – 2021) .
Without Remorse of its original title is the adaptation of the eponymous novel written in 1993 by Tom Clancy. If this name is familiar to you, that’s normal. The French publisher Ubisoft has developed several video game sagas based on the stories of the North American novelist including Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. Without any remorse is now available for free on TF1+ for a limited time. If you’ve never seen this film with Michael B.
