The four members of this k-pop group have achieved an impressive record, shaking up the South Korean and international music industry.

Blackpink, still legendary

Even if you don’t like k-pop, it’s now hard not to hear about it. Along with BTS, Blackpink are one of the South Korean music groups that have left their mark on the history of the industry. In operation since 2016, the four members quickly established themselves. While, more than eight years later, many wondered if they would renew their group contract, fans are reassured to know that Blackpink will still continue. However, when it comes to their solo careers, all the members have decided to stand out on their own.

So, just a few months ago, they began to establish their solo careers. In this context, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo each created their own agency to take care of their professional careers. Lisa even landed a role in the next season of The White Lotus, and will therefore take her first steps as an actress. Rosé, for her part, announced that she would release solo music, and revealed an extract from one of them.

In short, solo activities have always been an essential element for Blackpink, given that they each already released music when they were still in their former agency. It is this precise element that makes their group even more popular than ever. Recently, they achieved a most impressive record in connection with their former solo activities.

Each member’s solo is ultra popular

In the past, the members have had the chance to release EPs to explore new musical dimensions as solo artists. Thus, over the years, fans have been able to discover new sides of their favorite idols. Jennie was the first to get the ball rolling in 2018 with
his music soberly named “solo”before being followed by Pink And
Lisabefore ending with the solo of
Jisoo Last year.

Recently, it was revealed that Blackpink becomes the first k-pop group to accumulate 400 million Spotify streams on at least one song from each member : Solo, On The Ground, Money (and Lalisa) and Flower. In other words, each solo activity was immensely successful. This therefore proves both that this group continues to make history, that they are still as popular, but above all, that the continuation of their individual activities will be a real worldwide hit.. The fans are always there!
