After 22 seasons, American football superstar Tom Brady will retire, sports broadcaster ESPN has announced.
On several occasions this season, the quarterback in contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who he joined last season, said he wanted to play at least one more year in the NFL. However, the early elimination of the Buccs in the play-offs last Sunday after a game with a completely crazy scenario against the Los Angeles Rams (30-27), had increased speculation around the future of the 44-year-old player.

Named MVP five times
“I haven’t given it much thought yet. I will take things day by day and see where we are, “said the man who is considered by many to be the greatest player in the history of American football.
“I would be shocked if he decided not to play next season,” his coach Bruce Arians said a few days ago.
During his career, Tom Brady won seven historic Super Bowl titles. He was named five times MVP (best player) of the competition, three times of the regular season.
