Nicki Minaj lost her father. The 64-year-old was hit by a car and died in hospital from his injuries.
The father of rapper Nicki Minaj (38, "Anaconda") was killed in a car accident. According to US media reports, the 64-year-old was hit in Long Island, New York, and the person who caused the accident was apparently hit and miss. A spokesman for Nicki Minaj confirmed "People" that the singer's father has died.
Robert Maraj was hit by a vehicle on Friday around 6:00 p.m., reported the US celebrity portal "TMZ". Witnesses could not have given the police a description of the fugitive driver. Maraj was taken to a local hospital, according to the report, where he died of his injuries over the weekend.
