PARIS, Aug 4 (Reuters) – France is again calling for the restoration of democratic institutions in Niger and says it only recognizes “legitimate Nigerien authorities”, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The Quai d’Orsay adds that it “took note” of the decision of the junta which took power in Niger to unilaterally denounce the military cooperation treaties with France.
