Nike: 7% increase in quarterly net profit


(CercleFinance.com) – Nike published Monday evening net profit up 7% to $ 1.3 billion for its second quarter 2021-22, or $ 0.83 per share, for a gross margin that s ‘is improved by 2.8 points to 45.9%.

The US sporting goods giant saw its revenue rise 1% to $ 11.4 billion. They remained stable excluding currency effects, as the growth of Nike Direct and Converse was offset by a decline in the wholesale activity of the Nike brand.

“As we go through short-term sourcing challenges, we are focused on delivering on our Consumer Direct Acceleration strategy to nurture our long-term financial outlook,” says CFO Matt Friend.
