Nintendo Switch Online: three SNES games are arriving, including two entirely new in the West!

With the Nintendo Switch Online, Big N. regularly adds games from yesteryear to the emulators included in its console. Last month, subscribers to Additional pack were thus able to find F-Zero: Maximum Velocitywhile five productions signed Rare were added in February. This month of April, the Super Nintendo is being highlighted with the addition of three very interesting titles this Friday. Indeed, two of them were never published outside of Japan so far: the brawl Sugoi Hebereke of Sunsoft and the puzzle game Wrecking Crew ’98 with Mario and many other characters from his universe. You will note in passing that this is where his construction helmet comes from, which he wears in both Super Mario Maker ! The third is a classic shoot ’em up, Super R-Type.

Below you will find descriptions of these three games, which you can find now if you are a subscriber to the Nintendo Switch Online.

  • Amazing Hebereke – Developed by Sunsoft and initially released on the Super Famicom console in 1994, Amazing Hebereke is about to make its debut in the United States (and therefore in Europe, Editor’s note)! Participate in cute and chaotic battles in single-player mode or with up to four players in VS mode. Select your character, then battle it out on levels littered with objects and traps to use (or fall victim to)! Unleash your character’s special attack and try to be the last survivor.
  • Super R-Type – A galactic battle begins! The evil BYDO empire of mutant aliens is back and is preparing to launch a new attack on Earth. Only the revolutionary R-9, the most advanced form of defense on the planet, stands in the way of certain catastrophe. Fight through seven challenging levels against enemies with advanced firepower – picking up power-ups as you progress – before facing powerful level bosses. You’ll need lightning reflexes and a big dose of cosmic luck to survive. Fortunately, several difficulty options are available to fine-tune the experience, from NOVICE all the way up to the ultimate challenge of PRO mode. Are you ready to fight across the vast frontiers of space?
  • Wrecking Crew ’98 – Mario collects his demolition crew hammer in this action puzzle game previously only available in Japan. In it, you can play either the original Wrecking Crew or the updated Wrecking Crew ’98, with each version having its own challenges to solve. Battle your way through 100 levels as Mario in Wrecking Crew and avoid enemies while tearing down walls and ladders. Then destroy the competition in Wrecking Crew ’98 by destroying and arranging the panels to line up the corresponding colors. Complete four or more panels at once to launch an attack on your opponent: the more panels you clear, the more powerful your attack! Do you have what it takes to bring down the hammer and achieve victory?

Note thatin Japan, the program is a little different since in addition to Super R-Type And Wrecking Crew ’98these are Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (which we had in February) and the adventure game Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima which are included.

If you would like to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Onlinethe 3 month subscription is sold €7.99 via Amazon.
