NIU is gradually arriving on all continents, and the manufacturer of motorcycles, scooters, electric scooters
and soon to electric bikes
, exceeded the milestone of one million units sold in 2021.

NIU thus becomes first in the ranking of world sales of electric mopeds.

The Chinese market is particularly prolific

If the manufacturer NIU continues its international development, its good figures for the year 2021, in particular compared to those for the year 2020, are mainly to the credit of a particularly demanding domestic market. Thus, between Q4 (or quarter 4) of the years 2020 and 2021, NIU went from respectively 150,465 units to 238,188 products sold, an increase of 58%.

But, on the only sales of the fourth half of 2021, 205,239 of the 238,188 items sold were in the Chinese market, which represents more than 85% of the total. Over the calendar year 2021, NIU sales thus increased by 72.5%, an illustration of a growing enthusiasm for these urban electric means of locomotion.

Finally, the most impressive results can be found in NIU’s international sales, which show good growth between the fourth half of 2020 and 2021: + 155.8% of additional products sold in just one year. Bodes well for the Chinese firm.
