The Neakasa M1 smart litter, currently being crowdfunded on the Indiegogo platform, is the perfect example. In barely an hour, this campaign was able to convince and raise $100,000 in an hour, proof of the growing interest in this type of product. These beta buyers still invest nearly 250 euros to receive their product in December.
What is the Neakasa M1?
So, the Neakasa M1 is an open litter box for cats that is cleaner and more practical than a classic litter box. It’s designed to clean itself, which is honestly good news for anyone who’s tired of the chore of cleaning. And what’s more, it can accommodate cats of all sizes, up to 10 kilograms. So even big cats like Maine Coons are supposed to use it without problem.
The litter box is equipped with four weight sensors that detect when the cat is there and stop any cleaning in progress or prevent it from starting. Cleaning is a grid that moves from front to back and sends waste directly into a trash bag. Practical, right? And with a capacity of 11.2 liters for the trash bag and a little over 7 liters for the litter, there’s plenty to do!
The Neakasa M1 comes with an app that allows you to control everything. You can see how much litter is left, receive an alert when you need to change the garbage bag and even identify different cats if you have several at home. And all this, with a sound level of max 50 dB, so no risk of scaring kitty or disturbing the whole house.
As always with crowdfunding, it is advisable to approach it with caution. We suggest you wait until the product is fully developed and marketed, even if that means having to pay a little more.
