Nora Tschirner speaks in the “Bar-Talk” with Markus Kavka about her depression: “I had the feeling that there is a world inside of me where nobody was.”

In the latest episode of the YouTube format “Bar-Talk” of the association “Friends for Life eV”, which educates about mental health, presenter and author Markus Kavka (born 1967) speaks with actress Nora Tschirner (39) about her own experiences with mental illnesses as well as about her role as personified depression in the new TNT series “The Mopes”.

In the video that will be published tomorrow, Friday (May 7th), the Berliner describes, according to the advance notice, among other things, her own depression: “I had the feeling that there is a world in me where there was none […] which I will never find out again, “said Tschirner. Thanks to therapy and the right medication, she was able to overcome the disease that she had kept secret for years. She spoke in mid-April in an interview with the “Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin” for the first time publicly about it.

Nora Tschirner and Markus Kavka also clarify the question of whether one can face depression with humor, as in “The Mopes”. The six half-hour episodes of the dramedy will run every Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. on May 11 on TNT Comedy.
