Nordahl Lelandais: Maëlys’ sister, forcefully inveighs and destabilizes him in the middle of the trial

This Monday, February 7, during the trial of Nordahl Lelandais, it was Colleen, the big sister of Maëlys, who spoke directly to the accused during a shock exchange.

The second week of Nordahl Lelandais’ trial began on Monday, February 7, at the Isère Assize Court. The 38-year-old former soldier has been appearing for several days for the murder of little Maëlys, which occurred in August 2017. This Monday, it was Colleen, the victim’s big sister, who spoke at the bar and who spoke directly to the accused. “Can Nordahl Lelandais answer my questions? Please? I want to know if he raped my sisterthe 16-year-old asked the court. “No, I didn’t rape your sister”immediately replied Nordahl Lelandais.

“And why did you wait 6 months before confessing that you killed her?”added Colleen. “It was very complicated to explain what I had done”launched the accused. You have done the unacceptable, you have broken our lives. So I would like some answers now please”, insists the big sister of Maëlys, exasperated by the answers of Nordahl Lelandais, as revealed to us by our colleagues from BFMTV present at the hearing. After a long silence, the former soldier speaks again: “The truth, I tried to explain it many times, no one believed me. I can understand your point of view, it was complicated to explain why I took your sister’s life and today ‘Today I hear all your pain’.

Jennifer de Araujo, mother of little Maëlys, to Nordahl Lelandais: “Fortunately my daughter, my heroine, put you in prison”

A little earlier in the day, it was Jennifer de Araujo, the mother of little Maëlys, who had been auditioned at the helm. “How to live without you Maëlys? I would have liked so much that it was me in your place but this monster decided otherwise. I would never know your first lover, the job you would have done: farmer or firefighter”, she confided with great emotion. She then addressed herself, too, to Nordahl Lelandais: “Fortunately my daughter, my heroine, put you in prison. Your mother said she had no right to live but she, unlike me, still has her son”.
