Nordic combination – Johannes Lamparter triumphs in Ramsau

The Tyrolean Johannes Lamparter achieved the first World Cup victory for an Austrian combined athlete in Ramsau since 2010.

The 22-year-old won the mass start competition on Friday ahead of the Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber and the German Manuel Faißt. Stefan Rettenegger came fourth ahead of his brother Thomas. The Norwegian Jens Luraas Oftebro, who was leading after cross-country skiing, fell while jumping and fell far behind.
