Norman Reedus on love for Diane Kruger
At home, his wife and daughter are in charge

As Daryl Dixon, no one can easily fool him. In his relationship with Diane Kruger, however, Norman Reedus is more meek.
As experienced zombie hunter Daryl Dixon from the “The Walking Dead” franchise, Norman Reedus (54) is usually in charge in the undead apocalypse. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case in your own four walls, as the actor joked in an interview with “Bild” newspaper revealed. Because in his relationship with the German Hollywood star Diane Kruger (47) he is also faced with superiority, which, in contrast to the series, he apparently cannot defend himself against as successfully.
“I’m surrounded by German women, so to speak. Diane, our daughter Nova and Diane’s mother, Grandma. As the only man in the house, all I can do is always say yes,” said the man who was born in Hollywood, Florida Star. Reedus and Kruger have been together since 2016, and their daughter was born two years later.
In the conversation he also draws a comparison about what it’s like to be the father of a daughter and a boy. Reedus has a 24-year-old son Mingus from a previous relationship with model Helena Christensen (54). “Boys are very, very different from girls.” He worried less about Mingus when his daughter was five years old. “With Nova it’s completely different. With her I pay close attention to what she does. […] I don’t even want her to fall on the street. I’m always worried.”
The plans for Christmas and New Year’s Eve
The “Walking Dead” star also revealed the family plans for the upcoming Christmas and New Year: “We’re spending Christmas in New York and then going to our house in Costa Rica.” There, says Reedus, they are “in the middle of the jungle and are also celebrating New Year’s Eve there. That’s our tradition.” At least here there are parallels to his popular series character: Daryl also likes to spend his free time in isolation in the forest.
