SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea tested a cruise missile warhead on Friday and conducted a test-firing of its new anti-aircraft missile off its west coast, the North’s state news agency said on Saturday KCNA.

North Korea conducted a power test of a warhead designed for the “Hwasal-1 Ra-3” strategic cruise missile and carried out a test launch of a new anti-aircraft missile “Pyoljji-1-2”, KCNA reported, citing the North Korean administration.

North Korea’s strategic cruise missile is believed to be designed to carry a nuclear warhead.

KCNA reported that Pyongyang’s tests were part of its regular activities and not related to the regional situation.
