Nvidia took advantage of CES 2022 to unveil its GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. After some complications, the graphics card is released in France.
Here it is… finally? Nvidia unveiled the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti at CES 2022 in January, promising a quick launch. Finally, we had to wait until the end of March to see the most powerful Ampere cards on the market.
A hybrid graphics card
The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is interesting in more ways than one. She bears the responsibility of completing the Ampere generation before the arrival of the GeForce RTX 4000s scheduled for later this year.
It therefore pushes all the cursors of the GA102 GPU to the maximum, and also takes the opportunity to introduce some interesting new features, especially for professionals. Indeed, with its price and features, the RTX 3090 Ti is primarily aimed at a market of ” prosumers who above all want a powerful card for work.
It is notably equipped with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory which will allow the card to work on particularly complex tasks. Nvidia highlights a performance increase of 42 to 102% respectively when comparing with a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or a Titan RTX.
Being part of the GeForce range, it nevertheless remains a graphics card capable of prowess in video games. Nvidia goes so far as to promise 8K gaming, just that.
A particularly high bill
Despite the recent drop in the price of graphics cards, you will have to prepare your wallet to afford a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. The recommended price of the new GeForce is only 2249 euros. Nvidia promises to have stock in Founders Edition at its partner LDLC, but also cards by other manufacturers such as Asus or Gigabyte.
