NVIDIA is going to make some big announcements at CES in January, what can you expect?

NVIDIA has confirmed that it will hold a “special” GeForce event ahead of CES 2023. Here is what the brand could reveal there.

It’s confirmed, NVIDIA will hold a GeForce event on January 3 at 5 p.m. French time, two days before the official opening of CES 2023. Organized again this year virtually, the event should give NVIDIA the opportunity to unveil its RTX 4070 Ti, which has been rumored for a few weeks, and to present its first mobile RTX 4000 chips for laptops.

A virtual event to follow online

As specified WCCFTechNVIDIA urges us to attend its virtual conference but specifies that it will be present at CES to physically present the new features unveiled on January 3.

RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4000 mobile?

NVIDIA’s announcement comes just days after a leak hinted at a presentation that same January 3 for the RTX 4070 Ti. As a reminder, this new card could take over a significant part of the characteristics of the RTX 4080 12 GB, canceled by NVIDIA following a communication error. The firm thus indicated in mid-October that the latter did not wear ” not the right name », strongly implying that she would return… but under another name. Obviously we are almost there.

On the sidelines of this potential RTX 4070 Ti, NVIDIA should logically take advantage of its pre-CES GeForce event to give us news of its mobile RTX 4000s, for gaming laptops. We also know that several manufacturers of portable PCs will announce at CES 2023 their new models equipped with new generation Intel and AMD processors (Core of 13^e generation Raptor Lake-HX and Ryzen 7000 Dragon Range). It would be surprising if these new CPUs were not, at the same time, paired with low-power RTX 4000s.

We can finally expect announcements from NVIDIA concerning the software part adjoining its GeForce graphics cards. The firm could notably announce the compatibility of a new batch of games with the latest version of its DLSS technology.
