Nvidia: ‘keynote’ expected with a new AI platform

(CercleFinance.com) – After stalling last week, Nvidia shares started to rise again on Monday in the first trades on the New York Stock Exchange while awaiting the ‘keynote’ to be delivered during the day by Jensen Huang, the emblematic boss from the American chipmaker.

When the chipmaker’s founder and CEO takes the stage at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, investors will be on the lookout for evidence that the best of the golden age of AI is still to come.

The developers conference organized by Nvidia could be an opportunity for the group to present a new ‘super-chip’ designed for large-scale generative AI applications and accelerated computing.

According to HSBC analysts, this so-called ‘GB200 AI’ platform should both integrate the Grace Hopper CPU central processor and a B200 AI graphics processor, a first in the architecture of the Californian group.

According to the British bank, this configuration could allow the chip manufacturer to almost double these selling prices compared to the old generation, which leads it to maintain its purchase recommendation and its price target of 880 to 1050 dollars.

Despite a stock price which has already soared by 84% this year and 522% since the start of 2022, Goldman Sachs analysts point out that Nvidia’s PER has remained generally unchanged over the past 12 months despite the craze surrounding AI, a phenomenon that the New York firm attributes to the explosion of its financial results in the meantime.
