Omicron: Germany classifies France as “high risk zone”

From this Sunday, December 19, any traveler arriving in Germany from France, Denmark, or outside the European Union of Norway, Lebanon or Andorra, will be subject to a quarantine if they do not is not vaccinated, with the possibility of a test on the fifth day.

In the grip of a strong epidemic rebound, Germany is preparing for a new “massive wave” due to the Omicron variant of Sars-Cov-2, according to its Minister of Health, Karl Lauterbach. Denmark is facing a record outbreak of cases, and the Omicron variant is poised to dominate contaminations in Copenhagen and its region. As for France, where according to the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, the Omicron variant will probably be in the majority “from the beginning of the year 2022”, it has not yet reached the peak of the fifth epidemic wave.
