Last month, the young French studio Fireplace Games unveiled En Garde!, an action game with a cloak and dagger feel born from a student project. The title has already been approached thanks to a free demo, but the final version will point the tip of its nose in the coming days.
Fireplace Games announces that the release date of En Garde! is set for August 16, 2023on PC via Steam. A title awaited by many players, the demo was downloaded more than 50,000 times in two weeks during the NextFest. On Guard! will take us back to 17th century Spain, revisited for the occasion, alongsideVolador’s Adaliaa musketeer who will face the Count-Duke and his henchmen in fights mixing attacks, parries and ripostes. Special skills will even be launched after completing the Panache gauge, but above all players will have to study their opponents and use the environment to their advantage to trick them. And for pure battle, the mode Arena against waves of enemies will be in the game. On the graphics side, we can admire hand-painted environments, in the pure spirit of theater and swashbuckling adventure comedy.
Supported by Kowloon Nights (Sifu, Chia, Scorn, Roller Drome), On Guard! will arrive in less than a month on computers. Until then, you can gaming PCs on Amazon.
