The critics celebrate “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” and the sister of the late Sharon Tate is also impressed.

On Tuesday, “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival. The first critics praise the new strip of cult director Quentin Tarantino (56, “Pulp Ficiton”) as a masterpiece. Margot Robbie, 28, is also on display in the crime drama, which is currently at the time of the murders of the notorious Manson family. She plays the 1969 murdered Sharon Tate (1943-1969), who was then considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. The sister of the actress, Debra Tate (66), now praises the acting performance of Robbie.

“Margot captures Sharon’s sweet nature beautifully,” Tate told US celebrity portal “TMZ” after watching the new trailer for “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.” Tate was involved in the turning process by Tarantino. She was allowed to attend the set, got the script read and met with the director. Nevertheless, Tate had, according to the page in a special scene, which is also seen in the trailer, consider.

After reading the script, Tate worried that the scene in which Sharon Tate visited a movie theater to watch her own movie might seem conceited. “Depending on how Margot [the scene] played, it could have come to life,” explains Tate. “No, she did a wonderful job, Sharon did not have a single bone in her whole body.” Now Tate is looking forward to seeing the full movie soon. In Germany, the Tarantino strip runs on 15 August.
