A farm worker in Carinthia triggered a large-scale search operation with police helicopters and search dogs on Saturday.

A farmer from Liebenfels was desperately looking for his 38-year-old laborer from Lithuania. The man found him still asleep on Saturday morning when he didn’t show up for work on the farm. When he checked a second time, the bed was suddenly empty. However, the purse, mobile phone and ID cards were still in the room. The family of the farm owner searched the entire area of ​​the farm and the surrounding area as well as the village. The police were then alerted in the afternoon and a large-scale search operation started with rescue dog squadrons, police helicopters and fire brigades. “Slept off intoxication” At 5.58 p.m. the missing person was found unharmed on the property of the farm. “He stated that after drinking the appropriate amount of alcohol the night before, he wanted to be alone and therefore slept on the stacked hay bales in the outbuilding,” says the police. More than a hundred emergency services were looking for him.
