One hundred days before the presidential election, covid back-to-school, European flag… Coco sketches the news

The week of our designer.

Tuesday January 4. More than a hundred days before the presidential election. Valérie Pécresse seeks balance between her different political identities, Marine Le Pen holds up against Eric Zemmour (but not necessarily against Pécresse), Christiane Taubira reappears in recourse for union from a left in the midst of a traffic jam, and Emmanuel Macron no is still not (officially) a candidate.

Monday January 3. The brief hanging of the European flag in place of the French flag under the Arc de Triomphe, to mark the start of the French presidency of the EU, did not fail to trigger the very opportunistic anger of rebels, of the right and of the far right. Our post on this pitiful controversy.

Sunday January 2. Back to school under Covid: and above all health! Education, transport, electoral campaign, hospitals… At the start of the year, all sectors are caught up by the omicron variant and the country risks disorganization.

Friday December 31 and Saturday January 1. “Living together is possible!” And all our best wishes for the New Year. (Drawing published in the “Libé des solutions”)
