has officially just been made available to all Mac users!
Indeed, after several months of waiting, MacBook owners should be happy to learn that OneDrive is now supported by Apple Silicon processors in ARM-based Macs.
OneDrive becomes compatible with all Macs
Last December, Microsoft claimed to make every effort to make OneDrive soon compatible with macOS natively. Three months later, it’s now a reality: Mac users can fully benefit from OneDrive on the M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. A news that will undoubtedly delight you if you are one of the users of the operating system of the apple brand. Here is precisely what Microsoft said in a blog post dedicated to this announcement:
“ We’re excited to announce that OneDrive sync for macOS will now work natively on Apple Silicon. This means that OneDrive will take full advantage of the performance improvements of the Apple Silicon chip. We know this feature is highly anticipated and long requested, and we’re excited to make it available to everyone starting in version 22.022. “.
As Microsoft reminds us, the wait will undoubtedly have been long for some and some of you. But thanks to this update, available now, OneDrive will be able to take full advantage of the ARM architecture, thus offering better performance and optimizing the energy consumption of your MacBook.

However, Microsoft strikes very hard with its €7/month offer combining 1 TB storage with the Microsoft 365 office suite.
