OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro: price, release date, technical sheet … everything we know

Although it is not yet official, the OnePlus 10 Pro has already been the subject of leaks and rumors. Here is everything we know about this smartphone, from its price to its design, including its release date and its technical sheet.

Once a small brand that only released one phone per year for ultra “geeks”, OnePlus has become a mainstream brand with a diverse range of smartphones ranging from entry level to ultra high end. Particularly competitive, its main line is awaited each year by technophiles and it is obvious that the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro are no exception to the rule.

While waiting for the official presentation, here is already a compilation of all the noises of the corridors about the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro: release date, technical sheet, design, price… you will find everything that interests you here.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is inspired by Samsung

Once their style is found, smartphone brands tend to keep the same guidelines and decline the same design with only a few slight changes from year to year. This is the case of OnePlus which varied the look of its OnePlus 5 by small touches to refine it up to that of the OnePlus 9 Pro. Unsurprisingly, the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro should therefore not vary too much.

According to the first visuals shared by the very reliable OnLeaks, the front of the phone and its overall size do not seem to change. There is also a screen (curved at the edges) of 6.7 inches in a chassis of 163 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm. To a few tenths of a millimeter, these are the same dimensions as for its predecessor.

For the front camera, it is always a discreet bubble in the upper left corner of the screen that accommodates it. Nothing surprising then.

At the back, however, it’s another lemonade. If the format is similar and the materials have certainly not changed, the photo unit is getting a facelift according to OnLeaks. The images he shares show a large square frame accommodating three lenses and a flash arranged perfectly symmetrically to the point that he would not swear between two products from the “hotplates” section of a Darty or Boulanger store.

Notable point: this slightly raised area compared to the shell of the phone envelops its left edge (or right if you look at it from the front, it’s like North and South: depending on how you are turned, that changes everything). This is of course reminiscent of the originality of the Galaxy S21 from which OnePlus was largely inspired here.

It should also be noted that OnLeaks has written the words Hasselblad on the photo block along the edge. If the presence of OnePlus’ photo partner is guaranteed, we know that this kind of mention on the phone shell can be changed until the last moments of creation.

As for the buttons, no noticeable change: the power key is on the right, under thealert slider, while the volume buttons are located on the left edge.

OnePlus 10 Pro technical sheet

On the side of the OnePlus 10 Pro technical sheet, some rumors have already advanced certain data. Pete Lau also confirmed that the next generation of the brand’s smartphones will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm chip, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This would be coupled with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 to 256 GB in UFS 3.1.

Note that as for the previous “Pro” models, OnePlus would have had its smartphone IP68 certified.

For now, no details have been leaked concerning the OnePlus 10.

A large battery and very fast charging

For a few years now, OnePlus has been one of the benchmarks for autonomy. Not so much by its long-lasting hold, which is now average, but by its charging speed. For the OnePlus 10 Pro, the Chinese brand has decided to switch to a 5,000 mAh battery, against 4,500 for its predecessor. What perhaps offer the phone a few additional hours of autonomy that would allow it to reach the two days of use.

In addition, the OnePlus 10 Pro could charge at 125 Watts. This is almost twice as powerful as the 65 Watts of the OnePlus 9 Pro which already recovers all of its battery in just under 30 minutes. However, do not expect a full charge in 15 minutes: not only is the battery bigger, but the charger does not give its full power over the entire charge to preserve the battery in the long term and we do not yet know the adjustments that OnePlus was able to make to this level.

Nevertheless, this statement remains to be moderated since according to the Digital Chat Station leaker, the recharge would not exceed 80 W. A point which therefore remains to be clarified.

Triple photo sensor for the OnePlus 10 Pro

During its first indiscretion on the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnLeaks pointed to the presence of three photo modules. We had to wait for a second publication to have more technical details about them.

The OnePlus 10 Pro would therefore have a main sensor of 48 Mpx, an ultra-wide angle of 50 Mpx and an x3.3 telephoto of 8 Mpx. Note that OnePlus seems to have abandoned its 2 Mpx “monochrome” sensor, but let’s face it, it won’t be missed by many …

As for selfies, the OnePlus 10 Pro would be based on a 32 Mpx sensor.

OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro price and release date

Traditionally, OnePlus has made a habit of launching its new high-end smartphones between March and May, but in these times of shortages, the 2022 roadmap seems more complicated for some brands, especially those that cannot play on. their volume to obtain advantageous contracts with their suppliers. However, the first sounds from the corridors seem to indicate that the OnePlus 10 will not be late… on the contrary.

If the Max Jambor leaker wrongly evoked a global launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro in March or April 2022, Pete Lau made an appointment with OnePlus fans in January for the OnePlus 10 Pro. The presentation will therefore take place on January 5 at CES 2022.

Surprisingly, we are talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro only and not the “OnePlus 10” series. Moreover, as long as nothing is announced, the release dates are always subject to change.

The prices of the OnePlus 10 Pro

For now, the prices of the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro are not known. It is rumored that the “Pro” model would be marketed at $ 1,069, but the reliability of the source remains to be demonstrated.

As a reminder, the OnePlus 9 was launched at 719 or 819 euros depending on storage space and RAM, and the OnePlus 9 Pro was launched at 919 or 999 euros depending on the variant.

What about the OnePlus 10?

For now, all the leaks evoke the OnePlus 10 Pro only. We can therefore wonder if there will be a OnePlus 10 “short”. The year is conducive to cuts and rearrangements of ranges. Apple for example could reduce its production of iPad to favor the production of iPhone and it is not impossible that the OnePlus 10 was sacrificed on the altar of components to allow the Pro model to be available in sufficient quantities. . But maybe the future will prove us wrong …
