OnePlus 10 Pro: the photo part signed Hasselblad has almost no secrets

OnePlus continues to trickle down information about its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro. On this last day of CES, the Chinese manufacturer reveals almost everything on the photo shutter of his device.

Pending its official presentation on January 11, OnePlus continues to provide information on its next high-end smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro. Today, on this closing day of CES in Las Vegas, Pete Lau’s company is looking at its photo part, revealing the improvements made with its partner Hasselblad.

10-bit colors, raw + format and fisheye mode

OnePlus announces a new software solution called OnePlus Billion Color, capable of offering the images taken with the OnePlus 10 Pro the same rendering as that obtained with a Hasselblad camera. The manufacturer indicates that its future flagship is the first smartphone in the world to capture 10-bit images which, coupled with OnePlus Billion Color technology, promises photos with natural colors. The Chinese company even ensures that its OnePlus 10 Pro captures up to “64 times more colors than the OnePlus 9 Pro”.

For its part, the Pro mode, called by OnePlus Hasselblad Pro, opts for a new image format, the raw +. This evolution of the traditional raw combines the advantages of a “raw” shot with those of mobile photography and its image processing. OnePlus does not expand further on the process, we will have to wait for the conference scheduled for next week, as well as the first handling of the device, to find out a little more.

Finally, if the firm does not confirm the rumors around the definition of its three modules, it indicates that its ultra wide-angle will be able to take photos with an angle of 150 °. And a fisheye mode is making its appearance – just like on the Realme GT 2 Pro announced earlier this week. For those who do not need such an ultra wide-angle, OnePlus specifies that a capture at 110 ° will be possible. The video also benefits from some new features, such as manual setting of ISO or shutter speed while filming. Recording in LOG format is now in the game and should be of interest to budding mobile filmmakers.

The official presentation of OnePlus’ next flagship will therefore take place in China on January 11, 2022 at 2 p.m., i.e. 7 a.m. at home. This smartphone should only be available internationally during the month of March.
