According to various rumors, OnePlus could very soon formalize a new smart phone premium.
A future “flagship” which would be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 first at OnePlus?
At the start of the year, OnePlus launched its brand new high-end smartphone in France: the OnePlus 10 Pro. An ever more technically advanced terminal, with a 6.7″ AMOLED 120 Hz screen, 12 GB of RAM and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm.
According to new rumors from China, it seems that OnePlus has the idea of formalizing a new premium smartphone very soon, which could hit stores before the end of the year. A new mobile that would be powered this time by the Gen 2 version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 processor.
A new OnePlus smartphone… already??
This new OnePlus should therefore have an SM8550 processor (against an SM8450 for the OnePlus 10 Pro) and should be formalized during the next conference signed by Qualcomm, on November 15. It is during its famous Snapdragon Summit that the brand will unveil its future high-end SoC, as well as the first smartphones concerned.
If we follow OnePlus logic, it seems likely that this future “OnePlus 11 Pro”, if that is its definitive name, will make its debut first in China, before being exported a few weeks later in the rest of the world.
Note that insistent rumors also evoke the arrival of a first folding smartphone at OnePlus, probably in the course of the coming year. Indeed, this summer, via Twitter, the boss and co-founder of OnePlus published photos which seem to highlight a simple hinge, an essential device for the development of a folding smartphone, Galaxy Z Fold 4 style.
