“Our country will be destroyed”
Trump accuses Biden of complete failure
Although he was US President, he still presents himself as an anti-establishment man: Trump falls back into old patterns on his first campaign appearance. He railed against Biden’s successor, berated the government as “incompetent” and also spread false claims and conspiracy theories.
Former US President Donald Trump has accused his successor Joe Biden of complete failure almost a year after he took office. “In less than a year, Joe Biden and the Radical Democrats have brought our country to the brink of ruin,” Trump said in a speech to supporters in Florence, Arizona. Biden’s course is a disaster. “Our country is being destroyed,” Trump said. Biden was sworn in as US President on January 20, 2021.
Trump complained that there was an inflationary crisis, fuel prices had risen, store shelves were empty, crime and illegal migration had increased drastically, as had corona infections. In addition, Biden has embarrassed the United States on the world stage, including through the “surrender” in Afghanistan. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea also no longer have any respect for the United States.
Biden had “completely failed”. His government is “incompetent” and “incompetent,” said the ex-president. In the pandemic, Biden is also trying to rob people of their dignity and freedom with regulations. This is “government tyranny”.
Trump, as in the past – despite his own time in the White House – presented himself as an anti-establishment man and said: “These corrupt, power-hungry madmen have to hear us loud and clear: We are fed up with our lives being run by politicians and… bureaucrats in Washington.”
US Election 2020 and Capitol Storm
Trump once again raged violently against the Democrats as a whole. “Today’s radical Democratic Party is fueled by a mean and vicious spirit of left-wing fascism. This isn’t just socialism anymore,” the Republican said. The Democrats used their majority in the House of Representatives to harass their political opponents. This “blatant abuse of power” is a disgrace. “We must protect our nation from these monsters who use law enforcement for political retaliation.”
Trump also spent a lot of time renewing his unsubstantiated claims that he was cheated out of the 2020 presidential election. He also spread conspiracy theories regarding the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 and expressed the suspicion that authorities such as the federal police FBI could have been involved.
It was Trump’s first campaign appearance for the Republican Party in the new election year: Congressional elections are due in the USA in November.
