Nine Dots Studios and PrimeMatter announced it last March, Outward is back in a Definitive Edition. This improved version allows players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to experience this open-world survival game, and if you already had the title and its two DLCs on PS4 or Xbox One, the update is free.
Also on PC Outward is updating to accommodate these new features. In addition to a launch trailer to admire above, the developers take stock of the improvements made by the Definitive Edition :
- New unique dungeon encounters;
- New defeat scenarios;
- New diseases;
- Access to the reserve in coop;
- Improvements to enchantments and crafting;
- Visual optimizations;
- More totem workshops;
- Corruption hazards previously exclusive to DLCs are now spreading throughout the game.
