A saleswoman’s husband fell into the trap when buying a game console on an Internet sales platform. This was worth a mid three-digit amount to him. “In the course of the subsequent mail traffic with the alleged seller, the latter succeeded in persuading the Germans to make another payment in the middle three-digit euro amount for alleged shipping costs and customs duties,” explains the Imst police the suspect a few days later, the 41-year-old became suspicious and filed a complaint. Overall, the man suffered damage of over 1000 euros.
