Oxygen Esports first European champion of RLCS 2022-23, the Karmine Corp in the final

This weekend, after the RLCS 2022-23 – Fall Europe Regional 1, Oxygen Esports has climbed to the top step of the podium in the first European competition of this new Rocket League season. Qualified via the Top 16 Qualifier, the American team (but engaged in EU) had to wait for round 4 to obtain its place for the playoffs, because of a defeat in the first meeting against Aogiri. In the end, with 3 matches won and one defeat, just like Karmine Corp. Where Tundra EsportsOxygen took the third position behind moist and Team BDSundefeated.

In the playoffs, Moist continued his strong showing by beating Team Liquid 4-2, but fell to a heavy hitter in the semis: Karmine Corp. The French team won against Tundra 4-1 in the quarters then crushed Moist 4-1 in the semis. For its part, Oxygen beat G1 in the quarterfinals (4-2) before winning without incident against Quadrant (4-0) in the semis and joining the KC in the final.

The duel was formidable and the KC could believe it. After losing the first leg 2-1, the French won 3-0 on Aquadrome and 4-1 on DFH Stadium. Unfortunately after the break they failed to keep up the pressure, yielding over the last three meetings and in particular Neo Tokyo 0-4 at the end of the match. Oxygen lifts the first title, takes home $30,000 and 16 points for RLCS, KC $20,000 and 12 points.
