Ozzy Osbourne has Parkinson's disease. The 71-year-old Black Sabbath star does not want to go into musician retirement.
Old rocker Ozzy Osbourne (71, "Dreamer") suffers from Parkinson's. However, the illness does not stop him from continuing on stage and releasing new music. In an interview with the British daily "Daily Mirror", the former frontman of the band Black Sabbath ("Paranoid") announced the time when he wants to retire.
Ozzy Osbourne will retire when "they nail the lid on my box"
"Do you know when I'm going to retire? When I hear them nail the lid on my box," the Birmingham-born musician emphasized, adding, "And then I'll give a damn encore. I'm the prince of darkness. "
According to the newspaper, Parkinson's disease has made it difficult for the 71-year-old to walk. For Osbourne, however, that's no reason to worry. "It's just one more thing I have to deal with," he explained. His wife Sharon (67, "The Osbournes") jokingly added that her husband "always had a funny walk". "We don't want to do anything differently," she emphasized. "He doesn't need pity. He just needs a stage."
Bouncing audience is better than orgasm
Ozzy Osbourne wants to continue his current tour, which is currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, despite his health problems. He is "honored that people still want to see me," said the star. The feeling when the people in the audience start jumping is better for him than an orgasm. "It's the best love affair of my life."
After pneumonia and a serious fall last year, the cult rocker made public in January that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He has been in domestic isolation since the beginning of the Corona crisis.
