Romina Palm made it to the big GNTM final – but since the show the model has been struggling with severe pain and can barely walk. There is even an operation on the horizon.
Romina Palm, 21, took fourth place in the grand finale of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. A great result! But after the show Romina returned home with an injury: The 21-year-old pulled her knee during the final, and has been struggling with severe pain since then – and may now even have to have an operation.
After the GNTM final, Romina “can hardly walk”
“I’m back home … of course, I would have liked nothing more than conveying a positive vibez – but unfortunately things don’t always go the way you want them to,” explains Romina in her Instagram story. “Not everything is going perfectly and I think you know me too and like me for not showing my best sides.”

In another clip she says: “I just had my knee checked and it doesn’t look so good. I’m in very, very, very severe pain. I can barely walk. I have now had an infusion of painkillers and the bandage on the knee. ” The model has an MRI appointment on Monday (May 31, 2021). Then it is decided whether she needs an operation.
Background: Romina injured her cruciate ligament and meniscus in a skiing accident in 2015 and had to undergo an operation. Actually, she should have had a second operation back then, but through regular exercise she got the pain under control on her own, as she revealed in an interview with “Promiflash”.
Nevertheless, she does not regret taking part in GNTM – only the final: “I regret it a little that I did not listen to my body and that I did everything last week despite the pain.”
