Now this “Very Peri” has been chosen as the trend color for 2022, as announced by the Pantone Color Institute. This shade is intended to illustrate “the amalgamation of modern life and how color trends in the digital world manifest themselves in the physical world and vice versa”.
“Very Peri offers all the properties of blue tones as well as a reddish-purple nuance and shows us a lively, happy view of the world and a dynamic presence that inspires courageous creativity and imaginative expression,” enthuses Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. of the color of the year 2022.
The colorful history of the trend colors
The Pantone Color Institute bases its annual choice of trend colors on seasonal trend forecasts, color psychology and color advice. Most recently these colors were titled: “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating” (2021), “Classic Blue” (2020), “Living Coral” (2019), “Ultra Violet” (2018) and “Greenery” (2017). The first color was “Cerulean Blue” in 2000 and is somewhat reminiscent of the new trend tone.
