Among these more than two million tickets, 60,000 will be easy-access seats, and 12,000 reserved for people in wheelchairs. This responds “to all the demands”, justified the organization of Paris-2024 to explain this low figure. Potential accompanying persons will also need to have a ticket.
“Discovery pass” at 24 euros
The ticket office for the Olympic Games, initially opened by two draws, had generated frustration with prices considered prohibitive by some. The Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, recalled for her part that “300,000 tickets” for the Paralympic Games would be distributed in particular “to schools”.
Last August, the president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF), Marie-Amélie Le Fur, praised a “genuinely popular” ticket office from AFP, with notably “half of the tickets costing less than 25 euros”. Some 80% are also announced at 50 euros and less. “Discovery passes”, at 24 euros, are also offered to attend several disciplines in the same day, as is an offer for families with reduced price places for children.
